Users & Groups
Every team workspace is created with one user, the administrator (admin). The administrator holds the company-wide admin role, which allows all company-wide actions: managing users, groups, roles and cabinets.
To invite a user, open the Users page and click Invite. Enter the user’s email address, choose a role and click Send Invitation. The user receives an email and is listed as Invited until they sign in for the first time. Until then, you can Resend Invitation or Revoke Invitation.
We recommend giving new users the user role. It lets them create and edit tags, metadata and categories, and manage their own API tokens. Every user can work with documents in their own Home and Inbox; to work in a cabinet, they need a cabinet role on it, either directly or through a group.
Groups
Section titled “Groups”A group is a collection of users. Groups make it easy to manage access to cabinets for many users at once.
To create a group, open the Groups page, give the new group a name and pick its members. You can change the members later in the Edit Group dialog, or in the Groups field of the Invite User and Edit User dialogs. The group’s details page lists its members.
A group can be used in two ways:
- As a cabinet owner. All members of the group get full access to the cabinet. See Cabinets.
- As a holder of a cabinet role. All members of the group get the permissions of that role on the cabinet. See Roles & Permissions.
